Student Refund Policy
At Florida Coastal University, we’re committed to transparency and fairness when it comes to tuition and financial responsibilities. Our refund policy outlines the conditions and processes under which students may receive a full or partial refund.
1. Student’s Right to Cancel / Withdraw
Students may cancel their enrollment within three (3) days after signing the agreement or after attending the first class, whichever is later, to receive a full refund. Withdrawals during the first week of the term (Drop/Add period) also qualify for a 100% refund.
For withdrawals after the first week:
- Students may receive a pro-rata refund of up to 40%, based on the number of remaining scheduled days in the payment period.
- A non-refundable administrative fee of up to $150 will be deducted.
- Refunds will be processed within 30 days of formal withdrawal.
2. Full Tuition Refund Conditions
A full refund of tuition is granted if:
- FCU cancels or cannot provide the academic course as offered.
- FCU cancels or cannot provide the academic course as offered.
- FCU withdraws an enrollment offer (excluding instances of falsified student information).
3. Late Payments
- Tuition unpaid for over 1 month may result in late penalties or temporary removal from courses.
- Non-payment for 3+ months may result in expulsion from the program.
4. How to Request a Refund
Students must complete a formal Refund Request Form and submit it in writing. Refunds are disbursed via the original payment method (bank transfer or PayPal).
5. Financial Aid Compliance
While FCU does not currently participate in Title IV federal aid, it complies with all applicable refund and student aid regulations. Students with third-party or government-backed loans will have refunds disbursed accordingly.
