Admissions Officer Follow-Up
An admissions officer will contact prospective students who have shown interest in the DBA program. This follow-up will include addressing any questions, offering guidance on the application process, and assisting with initial requirements.
Candidate Submits Application for Admission
Applicants must submit the following materials:
A completed and signed Florida Coastal University, Inc Application for Enrollment.
Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended. For degrees earned outside the United States, an evaluation and verification of academic transcripts are required through an approved credential evaluation service.
Proof of English language proficiency, demonstrated through one of the following:
TOEFL (minimum score of 80 IBT)
IELTS (minimum score of 6.5)
Duolingo (minimum score of 100)
Alternatively, an official letter from the school/university certifying that English was the language of study, or an interview with a university official to confirm proficiency.
Eligibility Review
The admissions committee reviews the application and supporting documents to ensure the candidate meets the eligibility requirements. This includes verifying academic qualifications, test scores, professional experience, and language proficiency.
Comprehensive Evaluation: The application is then forwarded to the admissions committee for a more detailed evaluation. The committee reviews the candidate’s academic records, professional background, personal statement, and letters of recommendation to assess their fit for the program and potential for success.
Additional Information: If the admissions committee requires further information or clarification, the admissions officer may contact the candidate to request additional documentation or to arrange an interview.
Approval/Denial of Admissions by Academics
After reviewing eligibility, the academic team decides whether to approve or deny the application. This decision is made based on a comprehensive evaluation of the applicant’s academic history, professional experience, and potential for success in the DBA program.
Decision Making: The committee may approve the application, deny admission, or place the candidate on a waitlist. Denial of admission may occur if the candidate does not meet the program’s academic standards or if there are concerns about their readiness for graduate-level work.
Notification of Admission Decision
Applicants are informed of the admission decision through email. Accepted candidates will receive an official acceptance letter along with detailed instructions for the next steps.
Waitlist Communication: Candidates placed on a waitlist will be informed of their status and the potential timeline for a final decision. The admissions office will provide guidance on any next steps the candidate may take while awaiting further communication.
Signing Enrollment Agreement
Admitted students must sign an enrollment agreement to confirm their place in the DBA program. This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of enrollment, including tuition fees, program requirements, and other important information.
Deposit Payment: The candidate is required to submit an enrollment deposit along with the signed agreement. This deposit secures their place in the program and is typically applied toward the first semester’s tuition.
Final Preparations: After the agreement is signed and the deposit is paid, the candidate will receive instructions on course registration, orientation, and other preparations for the start of the program.
