The Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when using our website, applications, and services.
The University may collect personal information when learners apply for admission, register for classes, or sign up for our newsletters. The collected personal information may include name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth, Social Security number, academic records, and other information relevant to the academic or administrative interaction with the University. The University may also collect certain information automatically when visiting our website or using our services, such as IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system; this information is used to improve our services and to provide a better user experience.
The University takes reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality of disclosed personal information. Florida Coastal University complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a Federal law designed to protect the privacy of a learner’s education records, including academic,financial, and financial aid records. This law protects personal information from being distributed to third parties without your consent unless permitted by law. Accordingly, FERPA regulation requires a learner to expressly authorize the Institution, in writing, to disclose their education records and the personally identifiable information therein to third parties. This form must be completed and returned to the University before any information can be released to a third party (i.e., spouse, employer, etc.). This form remains only with the University.
Florida Coastal University University may update this Privacy Policy. The updated Privacy Policy will be posted on the website with the elective date.
